LEGEND
-The line was originally built 1961 by Parinvest together with Stein Heurtey and Gränges
engineering.
Subcontractors were British Federal, SACK, Ajax and Creusot-Loire.
-1981 the line was rebuilt as a galvalume® (Aluzinc) line. A new entry looper from SACK
was built in, the preheating furnace and the reduction furnace, the strip cooling was rebuilt, a
new zinc pot and a premelting pot from Ajax and a new exit section from SACK were built in.
-1988 the whole inlet section was renewed, the manufacture was BWG the reason for the
investment was to increase the weight of incoming material. The line was operated as a
galvalume line till 2004.
-2002 a new measuring device for coating thickness, from Thermo Radiometrie, was built in.
-2004 the line was rebuilt as a galvanizing line and new blowers and knives from Kohler were
built in.
-2009 an exit looper was built in order to increase the speed of the exit section. A new jet
cooler was installed and 4 new converters with DC motors for reels and S-blocks.
-2011 in November it was decided to close down the line and on December 31 the line was
stopped.
